Residential
Residential appliance repair
Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, dishwashers and microwaves — diagnosed and repaired in your home, often the same day.

What we repair in the home
- Refrigeration — refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, wine coolers
- Laundry — washers, dryers, stacked and combination units
- Cooking — ovens, ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, vent hoods
- Cleaning — dishwashers and garbage disposals
- Small built-ins — microwaves, coffee and espresso machines
How a visit works
A technician arrives with a stocked van, diagnoses the fault and quotes the repair before starting. The $85 service call fee covers the diagnosis and is applied toward the repair cost, so you are not paying twice to find out what is wrong.
Most jobs finish in one visit. Where a part has to be ordered, we tell you that at the diagnosis rather than after. If the economics favour replacement over repair, we will say so — an honest “replace it” costs us a job and keeps a customer.
Brands we service
Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Bosch, GE Appliances, Thermador and Wolf are among the residential brands we see most often. Hanndy Inc services these brands; that is not a claim of authorised-dealer status. If your unit is not listed, call — the list is not exhaustive.
When a repair is worth it
Two things decide it: what the repair costs against a comparable new unit, and how far through its life the appliance already is. On the second, the U.S. Department of Energy — Energy Saver gives useful averages — a refrigerator lasts around 12 years and a clothes washer around 11.
The working rule most technicians use is that if the repair costs more than roughly half the price of a comparable new appliance and the unit is past the middle of that expected life, replacement usually wins. Below that threshold, repair is almost always the cheaper decision — and the one that keeps a working appliance out of landfill.
Dryers are the exception worth calling out. A dryer that has become slow is frequently not failing at all; it is venting badly, which is a cleaning job rather than a repair.
